For more than 15 years, Scott Hamilton has had a unique collaboration with one of Europe’s best jazz pianists, Jan Lundgren, who is currently artistic director of both jazz house Montmartre in Cph. as well as the Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival. In the company of bassist Hans Backenroth and drummer Kristian Leth, they have been viewed as one of the most cohesive groups in scandinvian jazz. The most recent album is “Classics”. For the first time, Scott Hamilton tackles melodies and themes from classical music. Works by Chopin, Debussy and Dvorak have been expertly treated and arranged especially for this jazz quartet.
