At January 19 Jan Lundgren starts his yearly “Kind of Jazz” residency at Stockholm Konserthus. 3 concerts will be held fron January to March.
A whole world is reflected in Jan Lundgren’s three concerts under the collective name Kind of Jazz. Following previous year’s successes this is the sixth edition of Kind of Jazz, featuring creative collaborations with for instance fellow pianist Lars Jansson, the Italian top musicians Rosario Giuliani and Luciano Biondini as well as multi-instrumentalist Ale Möller.
”The genre must not die in established forms, jazz can encompass so much and the music must constantly evolve”, says Jan Lundgren. He is one of our foremost musicians and he has shown through his 50 CDs and in a variety of projects and collaborations, his ability to embrace tradition and at the same time constantly innovate.
